How it all began

Oliver Lukas-Köllner and Florian Baurecht both come from the theatre. As a tour guide, Oliver also knows every corner of Vienna’s city centre and how many stories lie behind every wall. The catch: on a classic guided tour you hear about these people, but you never meet them.

So the two of them brought their worlds together. Instead of talking about the past, they let it appear in the street, with costumes, Viennese wit and genuine Viennese gossip. From this idea they founded Epochenwanderer together and developed it scene by scene.

And so you join figures from past centuries for part of their way: you stroll a few alleys with them, listen as they gossip, grumble and rave, and for a while become part of their time yourselves.
